The metal promoters in New York obviously don't check each other's myspace pages because this evening, there were no less than four (!) metal events in the city. The Kataklysm/Dying Fetus show was a big deal, Amorphis and Samael were in town, and Precious Metal was on tap, with Curran's band, Wetnurse, kicking off a mini-tour in the basement. Unfortunately, by the time I made my decision and got over to Rebel, I'd already missed Malamor, but left satisfied after a good aural bashing thanks to Malignancy, Fuck The Facts, personal favs Misery Index and Origin.

Ottawa's Fuck The Facts
Misery Index were on point tonite. They threw in a couple new ones from their latest release, Traitors. They played 'Conquistadores', 'Great Depression', 'Manufactured Greed', 'Pandemican', 'Occupation', 'Pulling Out the Nails', 'Traitors', 'Ghosts of Catalonia' and 'Ruling Class Canceled'.
