Ibex Moon Showcase with Incantation + Gravehill + HOD + Cardiac Arrest + Funerus + Abysme @ Belvedere's 071010

Incantation is a long-standing staple in the US underground death metal scene. I bought the 'Onward to Golgotha' cassette back in 1992 and was immediately hooked by mix of doom, blasting and sick vocals over the raw production and all-around blasphemy. Fast forward to 2010, and not much has changed with the band's sound. A few albums have sounded a little more polished than others, and despite the revolving door of members (save the band's leader, John McEntree), the dark, complex riffs, catchy doom sections and satanic imagery never changed. Incantation is American Death Metal.

I missed most of the openers and HOD was a no-show, but Gravehill set it off, and the night didn't look back from there.
